In other (by still related) news, Jesse and I are interviewing a pediatrician on July 8th. I am fairly certain we will be going with this practice, so this appointment should be more of a "meet and greet." They come highly recommended and I really like that they seem to be fairly flexible with baby vaccines. Additionally, they do not use any local hospitals (Lawrence General - yuck!) and send all of their patients to Children's in Boston, which I consider to be a huge PLUS.
Work on the nursery has been moving along, too. Last weekend we took some time to organize the 3rd floor, now guest room. It looks great and I feel good knowing that we have a place people can sleep. We finished the letters we are hanging over the baby's crib and they look great. Seeing it all come together is sort of surreal. It boggles my mind that we are going to have a BABY in our place in 4-7 weeks. NUTS!
As for me....getting bigger (believe it or not) and more and more uncomfortable. Last weekend was my first time really out in the heat/humidity (with no AC for an escape) and it was rough. I am more thankful for our central air than ever before! Also, I started having the Braxton Hicks (practice) contractions. Let me tell you, that is weird. My pelvic bone pain is getting worse, especially at night, in addition to the back pain that is almost constant. Jesse has also informed me that I now "snore like a trucker," or something like that. Sorry! I suppose it's all for a good cause :-)
My first baby shower is this weekend. I am really excited! This is the "family" shower and it being held at the Andover Country Club. I can't wait to see all the loot our little baby is going to get! I was finally able to find a dress last night, so I am all ready to go.
I leave you with some pictures...
Holy crap! I am huge!!!

Week 33:

Baby's now the size of a honeydew!
Things are heating up inside as well: Baby may grow up to a full inch this week alone, and his brain is developing like crazy. Pretty soon, he'll be able to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Also, his bones are hardening, and he's started to keep his eyes open when he's awake.
Some pictures of the nursery with the newly finished wall letters! :-)
